How does the Luthier Bench's Build Request Referral program work?

The Luthier Bench is a multi-luthier, e-commerce platform that provides a virtual showcase for independent guitar builders and their available instruments. The majority of our Luthier Storefronts are also workshops that construct guitar builds according to precise specifications provided by the Collector or Buyer. Our platform provides an opportunity for the potential Buyer to interact with one or more of our Build Request Workshops to initiate a discussion regarding a potential build.

What are the obligations of the Luthier and the Potential Buyer?

The Luthier Bench is acting a connecting platform for the Collector and the Builder. There are no obligations or commitments when a potential Buyer opens a conversation with a Luthier workshop, either to the Luthier or our platform. If the discussion results in a Build Order deposit, the Luthier will forward a one-time referral fee to The Luthier Bench, on an honor basis.

What are the fees for referrals upon successful build request?

There are no fees for Buyers or Collectors on our platform. If the discussion between the Buyer and the Luthiers results in a Build Order, then the Luthier will pay a one-time, 5.0% referral fee of the total build price and will handle logistics directly with the Buyer.

How can a Luthier apply for a Luthier Storefront and/or a Build Request Page?

We invite independent luthiers to visit our Seller Page and apply for a Luthier Storefront after which you will receive a direct phone call from our Founder for a pre-approval interview. Once your storefront is configured (and available builds listed, if any) - our team will reach out to work with you to design & implement your Workshop Build Request page that will be added to this listing.
